Tree down or about to fall? Call 443-692-TREE now. Spencer Tree Experts handles emergency tree removal and storm cleanup in Easton and across the Mid-Shore.

First, stay safe

  • If a tree or limb is touching a power line, stay far away and call your electric company (Delmarva Power or Choptank Electric Cooperative) or 911. Never try to move it yourself.
  • Keep people and pets away from leaning trees and hanging limbs. Damaged trees can shift without warning.
  • If a tree has hit your home, leave the damaged area and check for gas smells or structural damage.
  • Take photos of the damage before cleanup starts. Your insurance company will want them.

What we handle

  • Trees and large limbs on houses, garages, cars and fences
  • Uprooted or snapped trees blocking driveways and roads on private property
  • Leaning and split trees that are likely to fall
  • Hanging broken limbs (often called widowmakers) over roofs, decks and walkways
  • Full cleanup and removal of wood and debris, plus stump grinding once the emergency is over

Storms on the Eastern Shore

Nor’easters, summer thunderstorms and tropical storms regularly bring down trees on the Mid-Shore. Wet ground near the Bay and its rivers loosens roots, and wind off the water puts extra stress on tall pines and oaks. After a big storm, calls come in fast, so call as soon as it’s safe to get on our list.

Working with your insurance

We provide written estimates and invoices you can submit to your homeowner’s insurance, and a certificate of insurance on request. Check with your insurer about what your policy covers for tree removal.

Prevent the next emergency

Most storm damage comes from trees that were already dead, leaning or decaying. A pre-storm inspection and trimming or removal of hazard trees is far cheaper than an emergency job.
